The World Justice Forum V, organized by the World Justice Project, convened over 300 participants from 76 countries in The Hague, Netherlands, from July 10 to 13, 2017. This premier international event brought together global and community leaders from diverse sectors to share insights, explore strategies, and develop solutions aimed at advancing peace, equity, and opportunity through the rule of law.
The forum's agenda encompassed a wide array of critical topics, including economic development, technology, supply chains, women's rights, and freedom of expression. Participants engaged in plenary sessions, interactive working groups, and discussions that addressed these pressing issues, fostering a collaborative environment for knowledge exchange and problem-solving.
Attendees had the opportunity to network with peers, participate in cultural events, and hear from notable speakers such as film director Evgeny Afineevsky and senior counsel Irum Ahsan. These sessions provided practical knowledge and showcased successful solutions to the justice gap from various sectors, enhancing the overall experience of the forum.
The World Justice Forum V was particularly beneficial for high-level representatives from finance, development, environment, education, public health, and tech sectors; parliamentarians, judges, and government officials; corporate leaders; civil society innovators; scholars; journalists; investors; and members of the legal profession. The event offered a unique platform to learn about leading research, build networks, and commit to future actions aimed at increasing access to justice and strengthening the rule of law worldwide.
