Bill Mann

General Counsel at Mayer Hoffmann McCann P.C.

Bill Mann, General Counsel of Mayer Hoffmann McCann P.C., has a background in both accounting and law. He is a licensed CPA and attorney, with experience as an auditor at a Big Four accounting firm and as a commercial litigator at Baker Botts L.L.P. He has also worked as an enforcement attorney at the SEC and as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of CoreLogic. In his current role, he oversees all litigation matters for the company, many involving complex eDiscovery issues.

Brandon Mack

Brandon Mack has over ten years of experience in legal backgrounds specific to document review and auditing obligations. Prior to Iris, he practiced with a national firm specializing in corporate litigation and led cases involving document review and auditing. He built a legal solutions division encompassing document review and other services for large corporations and law firms, achieving ISO 9001:2008 certification. Brandon holds a B.S. in Professional Accounting from Bob Jones University and a J.D. from the University of Michigan. He is a Relativity Certified Administrator – Analytics Expert.

Christopher Q. King

Partner at Dentons US LLP

Christopher King is a partner at Dentons US LLP in Chicago, IL, with over twenty years of experience in electronic discovery. He has handled eDiscovery in federal and state courts, government audits, and internal investigations, managing document reviews and productions involving large volumes of data. His experience spans the entire EDRM from preservation through production. Chris also advises clients on information governance, including litigation hold processes, data store inventories, and records management programs. He is a member of The Sedona Working Group 1 and is listed in Chambers Global and Chambers USA for Litigation: E-Discovery.

Dean Ellen Y. Suni is on the faculty at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. She received her J.D. from Boston University and her B.A. from City College of New York. She has taught Professional Responsibility for nearly thirty years and has served on various state and national committees relating to professional responsibility and bar admission issues. Dean Suni has authored articles in attorney professional responsibility and speaks often on issues in this area, including ethics and technology.

Denise J. Talbert

Denise Talbert chairs Shook, Hardy & Bacon’s eDiscovery, Data & Document Management Practice (eD3). She has over 18 years of experience in cost-effective discovery management in complex litigation, including preservation, collection, organization, review, and production of documents. Denise has published materials on eDiscovery law and offers CLE presentations on this topic. She is a member of The Sedona Conference Working Group on Electronic Document Retention and Production and serves on advisory boards for Merrill Corporation and LexisNexis. Denise is also a faculty member at Bryan University, teaching eDiscovery classes.

Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin (ret.)

United States District Judge at Southern District of New York

Shira A. Scheindlin is a United States District Judge for the Southern District of New York, nominated by President Bill Clinton in 1994. Before her current position, she worked as a prosecutor, commercial lawyer, and Magistrate Judge. Judge Scheindlin is known for her expertise in mass torts, electronic discovery, and complex litigation. She authored the first casebook on Electronic Discovery and served on the Advisory Committee on Civil Rules from 1999-2006. She is an adjunct Professor of Law at Cardozo Law School. Her opinions in Zubulake v. UBS Warburg LLC are recognized as case law landmarks in electronic records management.

James L. Moeller

Jim Moeller handles complex litigation, including technology, e-discovery, environmental, employment, and general commercial cases in federal and state courts and arbitration. He has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America, Missouri and Kansas Super Lawyers, and The Best of the Bar. As a former computer programmer, Jim has handled litigation involving computer hardware and software failures and has a vibrant e-discovery practice. John Nickerson

Senior Corporate Counsel at Republic Services, Inc.

John Nickerson is Senior Corporate Counsel at Republic Services, Inc., the second-largest provider of solid waste collection, transfer, recycling, and disposal services in the nation. In addition to managing litigation, including complex environmental litigation, John manages the company’s litigation hold and e-discovery processes. Prior to joining Republic in 2006, he clerked for Justice Frederick Martone of the Arizona Supreme Court and was an Associate at Steptoe & Johnson, LLP. His practice focused on trade secret litigation, ERISA litigation, and insurance bad faith defense. John earned his B.A. from Grinnell College and his J.D. from the University of Arizona College of Law.
