2nd International Computational Law Forum
The 2nd International Computational Law Forum, held from September 21 to 22, 2019, at Tsinghua University in Beijing, was organized by the Tsinghua University School of Law and the Institute for Studies on Artificial Intelligence & Law (THUIAIL). This forum aimed to enhance international cooperation in computational law, focusing on theoretical developments and practical applications in the field.
Key topics addressed included data protection in the digital economy, platform governance, and the supervision of emerging technologies. The forum also explored big data applications, quantitative analysis in legal contexts, and recent innovations in legal technology.
The event featured a diverse lineup of speakers, including judges, researchers, technical experts, and practitioners from countries such as China, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Singapore, Indonesia, and Estonia. Notable participants included Professor Xue Qikun, Vice President of Tsinghua University, and Professor Shen Weixing, Dean of Tsinghua University School of Law, who delivered keynote speeches emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary development in computational law.
