The ARMA Metro NYC Chapter's 2019 Annual Conference, held on March 5, 2019, at the Executive Conference Center in New York City, was a premier event focusing on records and information governance. Organized by the ARMA Metro NYC Chapter, the conference aimed to provide professionals with insights into the evolving landscape of information management.

The conference featured four distinct tracks: Governance, Risk and Control; Technology; Information Governance/RIM Practices; and Legal, in partnership with the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA). Key topics included privacy, cybersecurity, strategic planning and growth, data governance, and cross-border data issues. Attendees had the opportunity to customize their learning experience by selecting sessions that aligned with their professional interests and organizational needs.

The event also provided networking opportunities, allowing attendees to engage with industry leaders and peers. A networking reception followed the day's sessions, fostering connections among professionals. Notable speakers included Barclay T. Blair, founder and executive director of the Information Governance Initiative; Ron Hedges, JD, former magistrate judge and senior counsel at Dentons; and Richard Hogg, GDPR Evangelist at IBM.
