Inspire.Legal 2019

by Christian Lang

Inspire.Legal 2019 was an innovative legal technology conference held on February 1, 2019, at New York Law School in New York City. Organized by Christian Lang, founder of the NY Legal Tech Meetup, the event aimed to create a functional roadmap for legal innovation by bringing together a diverse range of lawyers, clients, technologists, and other legal innovators to crowdsource and address the most pressing problems facing the legal industry.

The conference featured interactive sessions known as "Unpanels," where subject matter experts facilitated discussions on key topics such as technology procurement and adoption, platforms and interoperability, new offerings and client/lawyer/law company collaboration, experiential learning and training, and collaborative funding models. These sessions were designed to foster open dialogue and generate actionable recommendations for the legal community.

In addition to the Unpanels, the event included a Legal Problems Forum, enlisting participants in roundtable discussions to explore identified challenge statements. The collaborative nature of the conference encouraged attendees to engage in meaningful conversations, share insights, and develop solutions to industry challenges. Notable speakers and facilitators, referred to as "Luminaries," contributed their expertise to guide these discussions.

Inspire.Legal 2019 was particularly beneficial for legal professionals, technologists, and innovators seeking to address systemic issues within the legal industry. By focusing on problem identification and collaborative solution development, the event provided a unique platform for attendees to contribute to the evolution of legal services and technology.
