2021 Virtual NALP Annual Education Conference
The 2021 Virtual NALP Annual Education Conference, held from April 26 to April 30, 2021, was organized by the National Association for Law Placement (NALP). This event marked NALP's 50th anniversary and was conducted entirely online, providing a platform for legal professionals to engage in educational programming and networking opportunities from their own locations.
The conference featured over 70 concurrent sessions covering a wide array of topics pertinent to the legal profession. These sessions addressed issues of vital importance, shared best practices, and continued NALP's tradition of excellence in educational programming. A notable plenary session was delivered by Haben Girma, the first Deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School, who shared her inspiring journey and insights on disability justice.
In addition to the educational content, the conference offered various networking opportunities. Attendees participated in Regional Business Meetings, the Annual Business Meeting, a Trivia Throwdown Challenge, a virtual 5k run/walk, yoga sessions, roundtable discussions, and casual networking events on the Remo platform. These activities facilitated connections among peers in the legal industry in an engaging and interactive virtual environment.
The conference was designed for legal professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills, stay updated on industry trends, and expand their professional networks. The virtual format made it accessible and cost-effective, eliminating travel expenses and allowing participants to engage fully from their own offices or homes.
