INTA Annual Meeting 2022

The International Trademark Association (INTA) hosted its 144th Annual Meeting Live+ from April 30 to May 4, 2022, at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C., USA. This hybrid event combined in-person and virtual components, bringing together thousands of intellectual property professionals from around the world to discuss key industry developments and network with peers.

The meeting featured a diverse range of topics, including brand protection strategies, the impact of emerging technologies on intellectual property, and global trademark trends. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in educational sessions, workshops, and panel discussions led by over 150 speakers from 27 countries, representing academia, government, law firms, and major brands such as 3M, Microsoft, and Netflix.

In addition to the educational programming, the event offered numerous networking opportunities, including receptions, speed networking sessions, and table topics. The Brand Marketplace exhibition hall provided a platform for exhibitors to showcase their services and products to a global audience. Notable speakers included WIPO Director General Daren Tang, who delivered a keynote address during the opening ceremonies.
