The "Training on IP for Start-Ups" is a specialized program jointly organized by the World Cyber Security Forum (WCSF) and Virtual Law School (VLS). Scheduled from April 26 to April 28, 2022, this training coincides with World Intellectual Property Day and aims to equip start-up entrepreneurs, aspiring founders, and early-career lawyers with essential knowledge on intellectual property (IP) protection in the context of launching and managing start-ups.
The training encompasses a series of live sessions led by industry experts, covering critical topics such as the fundamentals of establishing a start-up, assessing the necessity of IP protection at various stages, understanding domestic versus global IP considerations, and the basics of IP registration processes. Additionally, there is a dedicated session on protecting IP in the MedTech sector, particularly relevant in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
