ACC National Capital Region Leadership Academy

by ACC National Capital Region

The ACC National Capital Region Leadership Academy is a comprehensive, year-long leadership development program specifically designed for in-house counsel. Organized by the ACC National Capital Region, the regional chapter of the global Association of Corporate Counsel, the Academy aims to equip legal professionals with the skills necessary to excel as leaders within their organizations and the broader community.

The curriculum encompasses a range of critical topics, including developing a personal leadership brand, emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication, building and leading high-performing teams, managing difficult conversations, influencing stakeholders, and strategic decision-making. These modules are tailored to address the unique challenges faced by in-house counsel, focusing on enhancing their ability to lead effectively from any position within their organizations.

In addition to the structured sessions, the Academy offers valuable networking opportunities, allowing Fellows to cultivate lasting professional relationships and expand their networks across various industries in the National Capital Region. The program also features insights from a distinguished Board of Advisors, comprising current and former general counsel and chief legal officers, who provide practical perspectives and mentorship throughout the program.

The Leadership Academy is ideal for in-house counsel seeking to enhance their leadership capabilities, whether they aspire to higher-level positions or aim to lead more effectively in their current roles.
