The International Trademark Association (INTA) hosted its 145th Annual Meeting Live+ in Singapore from May 16 to 20, 2023, at the Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre. This event, organized by INTA, brought together over 8,000 brand owners, intellectual property professionals, government officials, and academics from 140 countries to discuss and advance the field of intellectual property.
The meeting featured two curated educational tracks: the IP and Innovation track and the Business track. The IP and Innovation track covered more than 30 sessions on core intellectual property topics and emerging legal issues affecting brands and the IP practice. The Business track, held in the Innovation Marketplace, included 15 interview-style and fireside chats focusing on the economics of brands, IP valuations, and public-private sector cooperation in supporting entrepreneurship.
Notable speakers included Jennifer Jones, President of Rotary International; Daren Tang, Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); and Danny Marti, Head of Public Affairs and Global Policy at Tencent. The event also offered extensive networking opportunities, with more than 150 exhibitors, including 70 new exhibitors, in the Innovation Marketplace.
The Annual Meeting is ideal for brand owners, IP professionals, legal experts, and business leaders seeking to stay informed about the latest developments in intellectual property, expand their professional networks, and engage with peers from around the world.
