16th Annual FACL Conference and Gala

The 16th Annual Conference and Gala, themed "Change the Narrative," is organized by the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers (FACL) Ontario. This event brings together legal professionals to discuss and address issues pertinent to the Asian Canadian legal community.

The conference features a plenary panel titled "Breaking the Mold: Reclaiming Our Asian Canadian Narratives," focusing on changing perspectives of Asian Canadian narratives both within the community and in the public eye. Breakout panels cover topics such as equity, diversity, and inclusion from the viewpoint of in-house counsel, and mental fitness to support a successful legal practice.

Attendees can participate in networking breaks, a cocktail reception, and a gala dinner featuring keynote addresses and awards ceremonies. Notable speakers include Austin Wong, Head of Legal & Business Affairs at Wattpad WEBTOON Studios Inc., and Fariya Walji, Incoming Senior Director of the Law Practice Program at Toronto Metropolitan University.
