APRL Annual Conference 2024

The Association of Professional Responsibility Lawyers (APRL) will host its Annual Meeting from August 1 to August 3, 2024, at the Intercontinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. This historic luxury hotel offers attendees a blend of contemporary amenities and classic architecture, including original marble columns and a grand staircase reminiscent of the Roaring Twenties.

The conference will feature a range of sessions addressing critical topics in legal ethics and professional responsibility. Notably, on August 2, 2024, Chicago-based partner Matthew Henderson will participate in a panel discussion titled "Disqualification of Counsel—When the Client’s Right to Counsel is Taken Away." This session will explore the increasing prevalence of disqualification motions, common conflicts leading to disqualification, the types of counsel most often affected, and potential civil liabilities.
