INBA's 13th Annual International Conference on Law & Policy Issues

The Indian National Bar Association (INBA) hosted its 13th Annual International Conference on Law & Policy Issues, titled "75th Constitution Day," on November 26, 2024, at the Constitution Club in New Delhi. This event coincided with India's Constitution Day celebrations and aimed to provide a platform for the legal community to discuss and deliberate on several important issues.

The conference covered a range of pertinent topics, including e-commerce laws and consumer protection, data privacy and cybersecurity in litigation, safeguarding businesses through contracts and cybersecurity, addressing fraud and white-collar crime disputes in India and the APAC region, the Digital Personal Data Protection Act of 2023, technological advancements in e-discovery and digital forensics, digital world and data security, intellectual property protection and enforcement, international trade and compliance, managing multi-jurisdictional class actions, and mediation in international commercial disputes.

Notable speakers at the event included Mr. Tabrez Ahmed, Group Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy at Dell Technologies; Mr. Vivek Kapoor, Barrister & Arbitrator at 39 Essex Chambers, London; Prof. (Dr.) James Nedumpara, Head & Professor at the Centre for Trade & Investment Law; and Mr. Abhayan Jawaharlal, Deputy Global General Counsel & Global Chief Compliance Officer at CIPLA. The conference also featured the 10th Annual INBA Awards, recognizing the professional contributions of lawyers and general counsels across various categories.
