The International Trademark Association (INTA) hosted its 146th Annual Meeting from May 18 to 22, 2024, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia. This premier event brought together over 10,000 brand professionals, business leaders, government officials, and academics from more than 100 countries to discuss and advance the field of intellectual property (IP).
Themed "The Business of Innovation," the meeting featured two curated educational tracks: the IP and Innovation Track and the Business Track. Attendees participated in over 25 educational sessions and three workshops, including the new China Enforcement Workshop. Key topics addressed the evolving landscape of IP in a technology-driven marketplace, with sessions designed to meet the needs of today's brand owners and professionals.
Beyond the educational offerings, the event provided extensive business development opportunities. These included more than 350 Table Topics, 10 Speed Networking sessions, various receptions, charity events, idea exchanges, and immersive excursions around Atlanta. Notably, the Innovation Marketplace showcased the latest services and innovations from 143 exhibitors representing 35 jurisdictions. The Opening Ceremony featured a keynote address by Dr. Bernice A. King, emphasizing the event's commitment to leadership and innovation.
The INTA Annual Meeting is essential for IP professionals seeking to stay abreast of industry developments, network with global peers, and gain insights into the latest trends and challenges in the field.
