Privilege Logging in the Age of GenAI: Mitigating Burdens and Risks

by EDRM - Electronic Discovery Reference Model

Privilege logging has traditionally been a burdensome and time-consuming process for legal professionals. In May 2024, The Sedona Conference Working Group 1 introduced its Commentary on Privilege Logs, offering tools and strategies to mitigate these challenges. To further explore these developments, EDRM - Electronic Discovery Reference Model is organizing a webinar titled "Privilege Logging in the Age of GenAI: Mitigating Burdens and Risks."

This interactive, CLE-eligible webinar will cover tools and strategies to reduce the burden of privilege logging, methods to navigate competing interests and resolve privilege log disputes, the benefits and risks of applying AI to assist in generating narrative descriptions, and ethical considerations in light of ABA Formal Opinion 512 on Generative AI tools.

The webinar will feature expert presenters: Travis Bustamante, Partner at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP; Adam Gajadharsingh, Discovery Counsel at Google; Meghan A. Podolny, Counsel at Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP; and will be moderated by Aaron Crews, Chief Innovation Officer at UnitedLex.

Legal professionals involved in electronic discovery, compliance, and data management should attend to gain insights into modern privilege logging practices and the integration of AI tools in legal workflows.
