Research Colloquium on Law and Emerging Technologies 2024
The Research Colloquium on Law and Emerging Technologies 2024 is an academic event organized by the KU Leuven Centre for IT & IP Law (CiTiP). This colloquium provides a platform for researchers to present and discuss their ongoing projects related to the intersection of law and emerging technologies.
The colloquium covers a wide range of topics, including artificial intelligence systems, robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), extended reality (XR), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), cybersecurity, cloud and edge computing, healthcare technology, blockchain technologies, digital privacy, online surveillance, data protection, data governance, data spaces, freedom of expression, consumer protection in the digital market, social media, and platform regulation.
The event features multiple sessions where selected researchers present their work, followed by discussions led by senior experts in the field. This format encourages scholarly dialogue and provides constructive feedback to participants. The colloquium also offers networking opportunities during breaks and lunch, facilitating connections among peers and experts.
