Unmasking Christian Nationalism Virtual Panel

The "Unmasking Christian Nationalism Virtual Panel" is a free online event scheduled for Saturday, July 20, 2024, from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Organized by Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) in collaboration with the Mayflower Congregational United Church of Christ in Oklahoma City, this panel aims to explore the critical role of church-state separation in addressing the challenges posed by Christian Nationalism.

The discussion will feature AU President and CEO Rachel Laser, along with Dr. Samuel L. Perry, an associate professor in the Department of Sociology at the University of Oklahoma at Norman. The panel will be moderated by Rev. Dr. Lori Walke, a member of AU's Faith Advisory Council and senior minister at Mayflower Congregational UCC Church in Oklahoma City. Together, they will delve into the implications of Christian Nationalism and the importance of maintaining a clear boundary between religious institutions and government affairs.
