The Advanced Texas Administrative Law Seminar is an annual event organized by The University of Texas School of Law in collaboration with the Administrative and Public Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. This seminar convenes members of the judiciary, regulatory, and academic communities to engage with practitioners on the latest legislative and case law updates, rule changes, and other pertinent topics in administrative law.
Key topics covered in the seminar include case law updates, legislative developments, and discussions on navigating open records and open meetings laws. The program also features panels such as the Fifteenth Court of Appeals Panel and the District Court Judges Panel, as well as sessions on readable legal writing, the power of pro bono services, mediation at the State Office of Administrative Hearings (SOAH), and data privacy presentations.
The seminar offers multiple networking opportunities, including interactions with program faculty and fellow practitioners. Attendees also receive a bonus eSupplement post-seminar, ensuring they can earn their required 15.00/3.00 Texas MCLE hours for the year.
