Bar Council Legal Tech, AI and Sandbox Committee Panel Session

The Bar Council Legal Tech, AI and Sandbox Committee is organizing a webinar titled "Defrauded in the Age of AI and Deepfakes: Remedies and Risk Management." This session aims to explore real-world cases of AI-driven fraud and deepfakes from Malaysia, Singapore, and across the globe, highlighting how technology is being misused and the risks they pose.

Participants will gain practical tips on safeguarding against such threats, including client training and risk mitigation strategies. The webinar will also cover available legal remedies—both criminal and civil—and offer guidance on how the legal profession can respond effectively to this evolving challenge.

The panel session will feature esteemed speakers: Lee Shih, Partner at Lim Chee Wee Partnership; Leow Jiamin, Deputy Director (Legal Faculty) at the Singapore Academy of Law; and Foong Cheng Leong, Deputy Chairperson of the Bar Council Legal Tech, AI and Sandbox Committee. The session will be moderated by Vincent Liew Chee Keong, a member of the same committee.
