"Cultivating Public Trust through Innovation" was a webinar held on June 4, 2025, as part of the "Advancing Innovation: A Webinar Series on Judicial Innovation and Leadership," co-hosted by IAALS and the Berkeley Judicial Institute.

The session focused on how judicial innovation can strengthen public trust in the courts, exploring tangible ways judges can lead change to foster greater public confidence in the legal system. Experienced judicial leaders and innovators shared actionable strategies for building a more equitable and accessible justice system for all.

The webinar featured speakers such as Judge Paul Grimm (Ret.), David F. Levi Professor of the Practice of Law and Director of the Bolch Judicial Institute at Duke Law School; Brittany K.T. Kauffman, CEO; Judge Scott Schlegel of the Louisiana Fifth Circuit Court of Appeal; and Judge Erica Yew of the Santa Clara County Superior Court.

This event was open to all judges seeking to become catalysts for positive change in the legal system. It provided a platform for judicial leaders to gain practical tools and insights needed to drive meaningful innovation in the courts, aiming to build trust and foster a more accessible justice system for all.
