The DePaul University President's Dialogue Series is an initiative led by President Robert L. Manuel, designed to foster open and respectful conversations within the university community. This series brings together students, faculty, and staff to engage in meaningful dialogues on pressing issues affecting both the university and society at large.
Throughout the 2025 academic year, the series addressed a range of critical topics. In January, the focus was on immigration policies, featuring a discussion with Illinois Attorney General Kwame Raoul, a DePaul alumnus, who provided insights into state and local responses to federal immigration policies. Subsequent sessions explored the value of a DePaul education, the complexities of free speech on campus, and strategies for building a culture of community care and belonging.
These events are structured to encourage active participation through panel discussions, small-group dialogues, and interactive activities. Notable speakers, including university leaders and external experts, contribute to the depth of these conversations. The series also offers networking opportunities, allowing attendees to connect and collaborate on shared interests and initiatives.
The President's Dialogue Series is open to all members of the DePaul community who are interested in engaging in thoughtful discussions on important issues. It provides a platform for individuals to share perspectives, learn from one another, and contribute to the university's mission of fostering an inclusive and informed community.
