District of Columbia Judicial & Bar Conference 2025
The District of Columbia Judicial & Bar Conference is a biennial event co-hosted by the District of Columbia Courts and the D.C. Bar, bringing together judges, legal leaders, and professionals to address critical issues impacting the legal profession. The 2025 conference, held on April 25, 2025, at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C., focused on the intersection of technology, ethics, and public service.
The conference featured a morning plenary session, a keynote luncheon, and afternoon breakout sessions offering up to 2.5 Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits. Topics included artificial intelligence's impact on access to justice, ethical considerations in the age of AI, and practical workshops on generative AI for attorneys. A judicial reception honored D.C. judges, with special recognition for those retiring or taking senior status.
Attendees had opportunities to network with judges, judicial staff, and legal professionals throughout the day. The event also provided forums for discussions on judicial appointments and legal referrals, fostering connections and professional growth within the legal community.
