re:publica 25 is Europe's largest festival dedicated to the digital society, organized by republica GmbH. The event took place from May 26 to 28, 2025, at STATION Berlin, attracting over 30,000 visits during the three conference days. Under the motto "GENERATION XYZ," re:publica 25 aimed to foster intergenerational dialogue and collaboration, bringing together professionals from various sectors, including economics, politics, business, hacker culture, NGOs, media, and marketing.
The conference featured six main tracks: Politics & Society, Education & Learning, Media & Public Spheres, Science & Technology, Economy & Innovation, and Arts & Culture. These tracks encompassed a wide range of topics, such as Big Tech regulation, digital rights, sustainability, and the impact of digitalization on society. Notably, a panel discussion on Big Tech regulation included speakers like Klaus Müller, Louisa Specht-Riemenschneider, and Andreas Mundt, moderated by Markus Beckedahl.
In addition to the sessions, re:publica 25 offered practical experiences like the Makerspace, where attendees could engage in hands-on workshops, including generative video creation, LED programming, and solar-powered projects. The event also hosted TINCON, a conference on youth culture, providing a platform for young people to discuss politics, digital culture, and more. Networking opportunities were abundant, with spaces like the coworking and press lounge facilitating connections among participants.
re:publica 25 was designed for anyone interested in the digital society, from professionals and academics to activists and creatives. The event provided a unique platform for learning, networking, and engaging in discussions about the future of digitalization and its societal impacts.
