Slovak Compliance Days 2025 celebrated its 10th anniversary on May 12-13, 2025, at the Sheraton Bratislava Hotel. Organized by the Slovak Compliance Circle, this conference has become a pivotal gathering for professionals in compliance, law, internal audit, risk management, public administration, academia, and technology sectors.
The conference, themed "Compliance and Innovation in the EU – the Path to Stability and Transformation," addressed the challenges companies face in a rapidly evolving regulatory and technological landscape. Key topics included the impact of digitalization on compliance, the role of artificial intelligence in regulatory processes, and strategies for maintaining stability amidst transformation.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage in networking sessions, explore an expo hall featuring the latest compliance technologies, and hear from notable speakers such as Juraj Adamica, Manager for Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs at SPP, and Barbora Balunová, Partner at L/R/P Advokáti. These sessions provided valuable insights into current trends and best practices in compliance.
This event was particularly significant as it reflected on a decade of fostering the Slovak compliance community while focusing on future developments shaped by innovation, digitalization, and emerging leadership.

Daniel Ďuriač
Chief Regulation Methodologist at National Bank of Slovakia
Daniel studied law at Comenius University in Bratislava and economics at Masaryk University in Brno. He has been with the National Bank of Slovakia since January 2016, initially working on bank crisis resolution and implementing the EU directive on bank recovery and resolution into Slovak legislation. Since March 2020, he has focused on financial innovations and, from September 2023, on implementing the EU regulation on crypto-assets (MiCA).
Emil Fitoš
President at IT Association of Slovakia
Emil spent over 20 years at Siemens and later Atos, becoming the General Director of Atos Slovakia and the Czech Republic in 2014. Under his leadership, Atos became a leading company with significant innovation contributions. Jaroslav Ďurovka

Jaroslav is a prominent figure at the National Security Authority of the Slovak Republic, focusing on cyber security. He collaborates with domestic and international partners to enhance Slovakia's security resilience and coordinates activities at both national and European levels.
Juraj Adamica
Manager for Sustainability and Regulatory Affairs at SPP
Juraj has been with SPP since 2010, working in energy law, regulation, and public affairs. Since 2021, he has served as the Manager for Sustainability, identifying areas to enhance business sustainability and coordinating ESG principles across the company.
Juraj Beňa
Chairman at Antimonopoly Office of the Slovak Republic
Juraj previously worked as a legal advisor in a telecommunications company, focusing on regulation and competition law, and at the Antimonopoly Office's cartel department. He holds a law degree from Comenius University in Bratislava and an LLM from the University of Amsterdam, specializing in international and European law. His goal is to strengthen the office's position as a modern and respected institution for competition protection.
