The Sedona Conference Working Group 12 Annual Meeting 2025

by The Sedona Conference

The Sedona Conference Working Group 12 Annual Meeting 2025 is a premier event dedicated to advancing the study and practice of trade secret law. Organized by The Sedona Conference, a nonprofit research and educational institute, this annual meeting brings together legal professionals, scholars, and industry experts to engage in meaningful dialogue and develop consensus-based principles and best practices in the field of trade secrets.

The 2025 meeting will focus on several key topics, including international trade secret enforcement and protection, developing effective incident response plans for trade secret disputes, guidance for employees transitioning between jobs, and the implications of continued possession of trade secrets post-employment. Additionally, the conference will address the use of clean rooms in managing litigation risk, exemplary damages and attorney fees in trade secret cases, and the development of model jury instructions under the Defend Trade Secrets Act (DTSA).

Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in interactive sessions led by esteemed dialogue leaders, including judges, attorneys, and industry specialists. The event will also feature a Judicial Roundtable, providing insights from the bench on trade secret litigation issues. Networking opportunities include a welcome reception on the evening of October 5 and a reception on October 6, fostering connections among peers and experts in the field.

This annual meeting is essential for legal practitioners, in-house counsel, and professionals involved in the protection and enforcement of trade secrets. Participants will gain valuable insights into current challenges and emerging trends, contributing to the development of effective strategies for managing trade secret assets in an increasingly complex legal landscape.
