VCRAs 2025 D.C. Convention: Connect, Collaborate, and Celebrate!
The Virginia Court Reporters Association (VCRA) hosted its 2025 D.C. Convention, titled "Connect, Collaborate, and Celebrate!" from March 21 to 23, 2025, at the YOTEL Washington DC. This annual event brought together court reporting professionals for a weekend dedicated to education, networking, and professional growth.
The convention featured a variety of sessions covering key topics such as the value of community and belonging, insights into court reporting within the U.S. House of Representatives, and strategies for mastering the global stage in the profession. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in speed and realtime contests, enhancing their skills and competitiveness in the field.
Beyond the educational sessions, the event offered practical experiences including a Potomac River cruise, providing a relaxed environment for networking and socializing.
