31st Annual Tulane Environmental Law & Policy Summit

The 31st Annual Tulane Environmental Law & Policy Summit (TELS) is a student-led conference organized by the Environmental & Energy Law Society at Tulane University Law School. Since its inception in 1996, TELS has been a platform for dialogue among students, attorneys, academics, and activists on pressing environmental law issues in the Gulf South and beyond. Recognized by the American Bar Association as the top student-led environmental law conference, TELS is entirely student-run and free to the public.

The 2026 Summit, themed "Frontlines of the Future," will showcase innovators and change-makers who are developing blueprints for a more sustainable and prosperous tomorrow. Attendees will engage with leading environmental lawyers, scholars, entrepreneurs, politicians, activists, and executives through a series of panels and workshops. Key topics will include climate change, environmental justice, disaster resilience, wildlife protection, and renewable energy.

In addition to the educational sessions, the Summit will offer several networking and social events, including volunteer trips with local non-profit partners and the inaugural TELS Gala. These activities provide attendees with opportunities to connect with peers and professionals in the environmental law community.

The Summit is designed for students, legal professionals, policymakers, and community members interested in environmental law and policy. Participants will gain valuable insights into current environmental challenges and the legal frameworks addressing them, making it an essential event for those committed to environmental advocacy and legal practice.
