6th SEASIA Biennial Conference 2026

The 6th SEASIA Biennial Conference, titled "Forging Southeast Asia's Futures," is scheduled for July 8–10, 2026, at the School of Social Sciences, Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. This conference serves as a regional forum for Southeast Asian area studies, continuing the legacy of SEASIA biennial conferences hosted across Asia since the Consortium's founding in 2013.

The conference will explore how diverse actors—including states, communities, institutions, artists, educators, and technologists—shape the region's trajectories amid shifting geopolitical, economic, environmental, and digital forces. Emphasizing agency, the theme focuses on the capacities through which people and organizations navigate, contest, and remake structures of power to produce multiple, competing pathways into the future.
