2026 Annual Conference

The New York State Dispute Resolution Association (NYSDRA) is pleased to announce its 2026 Annual Conference, themed "Rooted in Peace: One Tree, Many Branches," scheduled for October 8th and 9th, 2026. This signature event serves as a cornerstone gathering for the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) community, bringing together a diverse group of professionals, including NYSDRA and Community Dispute Resolution Center (CDRC) leadership, staff, volunteers, board members, independent practitioners, members of other ADR organizations, and leaders from the New York State Unified Court System.

The conference will explore how collaboration across cultures, disciplines, and communities can foster resilience, justice, and lasting harmony. Through keynote conversations, interactive workshops, and reflective dialogue, participants will examine practical tools for peacebuilding in their communities and beyond. This year's event also marks the 30th anniversary of the Andrew Thomas PeaceBuilder Award, recognizing individuals who exemplify vision, leadership, and dedication to community mediation and social justice.

Day One of the conference will be held virtually via Zoom Events, providing accessible participation for attendees statewide. Day Two will take place at The Crowne Plaza/Desmond Hotel in Albany, NY, offering in-person networking opportunities, an expo hall featuring ADR-related organizations and services, and sessions led by notable speakers in the field.

This conference is ideal for ADR professionals, including mediators, arbitrators, conflict coaches, and restorative justice practitioners, as well as legal professionals, educators, and community leaders interested in conflict resolution.
