Annual Conference on White-Collar Crime in the EU

The Annual Conference on White-Collar Crime in the EU is a hybrid event organized by the Academy of European Law (ERA). Scheduled for 26-27 March 2026, the conference will take place in Trier, Germany, and will also be accessible online. This event aims to analyze the current European policy and legal framework for countering white-collar crime, as well as the latest legislative proposals. It will discuss recent insights, case studies, and best practices at both EU and national levels.

Key topics include the latest developments in the EU’s action framework and implications for cross-border cooperation, including the Anti-Money Laundering Authority (AMLA); the EU’s anti-fraud architecture review and updates on anti-corruption measures; trends and developments in the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO); challenges in compliance, criminal defense, and whistleblowing; case studies on money laundering, asset recovery, and sanctions compliance; and the use of technology to enhance financial crime investigations.
