CFLP 2026 Summit

The Centre for the Future of the Legal Profession (CFLP) is hosting its 2026 Annual Summit titled "Truth, Trust & Technology: Implications of AI for Law." This one-day event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at The Mint, located at Level 1/10 Macquarie Street, Sydney, NSW 2000. The summit aims to explore the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on the legal profession, focusing on themes of truth, trust, and technology.

Key topics include the current state of generative AI in litigation, its ethical implications, and the evolving role of AI in legal education. Sessions will address the challenges and opportunities presented by AI, such as its potential to enhance access to justice and the necessity for legal professionals to adapt to new technologies. Discussions will also cover cybersecurity threats in law firms and the ethical considerations of AI integration in legal practices.

The summit features a lineup of esteemed speakers and panelists, including Professor Michael Legg, Director of the CFLP; Dr. Felicity Bell, Deputy Director of the CFLP; and Noel Lim, CEO and Co-founder of Anika Legal. Attendees will have opportunities for networking during breaks and lunch, fostering connections among legal professionals, academics, and technologists. The event also offers up to 10 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points, with 6 points available from live sessions and additional points obtainable through complimentary online modules from EDGE’s online library.
