The 2026 Hon. Theodore T. Jones Jr. Trial Advocacy Academy is an interactive Continuing Legal Education (CLE) program designed to equip trial attorneys with advanced, practical strategies for every phase of trial practice. Organized by the Metropolitan Black Bar Association (MBBA), the academy brings together esteemed members of the bar and bench to foster skill enhancement and thoughtful discussion on trial advocacy.

This year's sessions include: "Own the First Impression: Voir Dire, Case Theory, and Openings That Land"; "Build the Record: Direct Examination, Exhibits, Experts, and Strategic Objections"; "Cross with Command: Control, Credibility, and Case Theory in Action"; and "Close with Conviction: Turning Proof into Persuasion." Each session is tailored to provide participants with comprehensive insights into effective trial techniques.
