The Law & Artificial Intelligence Certificate (LAIC) program is an intensive, weeklong professional development course hosted by LexLab at UC Law San Francisco. Designed for legal and compliance professionals, the program offers comprehensive, internationally focused training in the intersection of law and artificial intelligence. Participants who complete the course receive a certificate of completion from UC Law San Francisco.

The curriculum covers a range of critical topics, including the technological foundations of AI systems, governance and regulation of AI, the intersection of intellectual property and privacy law, and risk, trust, and safety in the development and deployment of AI. Sessions are led by a distinguished faculty comprising legal and industry leaders from organizations such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Meta, Microsoft, and GitHub.

In addition to the educational sessions, the program provides ample networking opportunities, allowing participants to engage directly with faculty and peers. Notable speakers include experts from leading technology companies and academic institutions, offering insights into the evolving landscape of AI and law.
