Rhode Island Bar Association Annual Meeting 2026

by Rhode Island Bar Association

The Rhode Island Bar Association's Annual Meeting is a premier event that unites attorneys and members of the judiciary from across the state for two days of comprehensive continuing legal education (CLE) and professional networking. Organized by the Rhode Island Bar Association, this meeting serves as a platform for legal professionals to engage with current legal developments and enhance their practice skills.

The 2026 Annual Meeting, held on June 11 and 12 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, featured a diverse array of sessions covering family, probate, criminal, trial, and commercial law. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in workshops on ethics, law practice management, and emerging issues shaping the legal profession. Notably, the event included plenary sessions on AI in legal practice and a panel discussion with sitting and retired federal judges on civics, professionalism, and public trust.

In addition to the educational sessions, the meeting offered ample networking opportunities. The Thursday evening reception provided a casual setting for attendees to reconnect with colleagues and engage with sponsors and exhibitors. The Annual Meeting Luncheon on Friday recognized the year's Bar Award recipients and celebrated attorneys marking 50 years in the profession. Rhode Island Supreme Court Chief Justice Paul A. Suttell delivered remarks on the State of the Judiciary, and incoming Bar Association President Dana M. Horton addressed the assembly.

This event is ideal for legal professionals seeking to fulfill CLE requirements, stay informed about recent legal developments, and connect with peers and leaders in the Rhode Island legal community.
