Stanford Directors' College is the nation's premier executive education program for directors and C-level executives of publicly traded firms and prominent private companies. Organized by Stanford Law School, the program addresses key responsibilities and challenges facing modern boards, including the board's role in setting business strategy, CEO succession and evaluation, managing legal and reputational risk, responding to activist investors, navigating boardroom dynamics and culture, and engaging with pressing issues such as artificial intelligence and the politicization of the corporation.
The 31st Annual Stanford Directors' College, scheduled for June 22–24, 2026, will feature keynotes from leading voices including Vlad Tenev, CEO and Co-Founder of Robinhood, and Jason Kwon, Chief Strategy Officer of OpenAI. Sessions will be led by Stanford faculty from across campus, including computer science and business, with an increased emphasis on case studies, simulations, and interactive sessions to deepen practical learning and peer exchange.
Attendees will have expanded networking opportunities such as golf at Stanford Golf Course and a private museum tour. Additionally, a fully updated Directors' College 101 add-on will be available for new directors. Stanford Directors' College alumni and 2026 registrants are also invited to join a four-part virtual program, "AI Priorities for Boards of Directors," at no additional cost, providing a board-ready framework for AI oversight and practical tools applicable to board and committee decision-making.
This program is ideal for current or former board directors of publicly traded companies, C-level executives of publicly traded companies, and board directors or C-level executives of large or prominent private companies seeking to enhance their understanding of corporate governance and the evolving role of the modern corporate board.
