Student to Lawyer Symposium 2026

The Student to Lawyer (S2L) Symposium is a biennial conference organized by the Supreme Court of Ohio's Commission on Professionalism. Scheduled for October 2, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the event will be held at the Supreme Court of Ohio in Columbus, Ohio, with remote participation available via Zoom.

This year's symposium, themed "The Whole Lawyer: Thriving as a Person and Practitioner," focuses on the holistic development of legal professionals. It emphasizes the importance of personal well-being, emotional intelligence, and purpose-driven practice as essential components of professionalism. The program aims to explore topics such as trauma-informed lawyering, professionalism and mentoring, continuous learning and development, financial literacy, navigating career changes, and expanding equity in legal services.

The Commission is seeking dynamic speakers to present on these themes, encouraging engaging and thought-provoking presentations that move beyond traditional lecture formats. Presentations should be in an engaging narrative talk format and a maximum of 30 minutes in length.
