The ITL Conference '26

The ITL Conference '26 is the largest gathering of Internationally Trained Lawyers (ITLs) in Canada, scheduled from April 23 to 25, 2026, at the Marriott Downtown at CF Toronto Eaton Centre in Toronto, Ontario. Organized collaboratively by The ITL Network, Global Lawyers of Canada, the Joy ITL Initiative, and ITL NCA NetworkS, the conference aims to support ITLs in their legal practice journey in Canada.

The conference will cover key topics such as building systemic equality from an ITL perspective, upholding the rule of law in uncertain times, developing psychological safety, and positioning ITLs as leaders. Sessions include panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities designed to equip attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to thrive in a diverse and multicultural legal environment.

Attendees can benefit from networking with fellow legal professionals, engaging in professional development through insights from leading experts across various practice areas, and exploring career opportunities by connecting with employers and recruiters. The event will also feature a Gala & Awards night recognizing exceptional ITLs and their contributions to the Canadian legal profession.
