The London Conference on International Law

by The London Conference on International Law Steering Committee

The London Conference on International Law 2026 is a biennial event dedicated to examining the state of international law amidst growing global uncertainty. Organized by a consortium of leading legal institutions and organizations, the conference aims to bring together judges, practitioners, scholars, and policymakers to provide high-level insights into the role, resilience, and future direction of international law.

Key themes for the 2026 conference include the evolving state in international law, international law and the global economy, international human rights law, non-state actors and international law, general international dispute settlement, law of the sea and international spaces, international criminal law and justice, and international law in practice. These topics will be explored through a series of panels and discussions featuring experts in the field.

In addition to the main sessions, the conference offers practical opportunities for networking, including a welcome reception and an exhibition area. Notable speakers from various sectors of the international law community are expected to participate, providing attendees with valuable insights and perspectives.

The conference is designed for government legal advisers, policy officials, NGOs, humanitarian organizations, diplomats, inter-governmental representatives, law firms, legal chambers, academic experts, researchers, university students, and emerging professionals. Attendees will benefit from engaging with topics at the forefront of international legal development, policy, and enforcement, as well as connecting with peers from across the globe.
