Mariya Gabriel

Mariya Gabriel served as a Member of the European Parliament from 2009 to 2017, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society (2017–2019), and European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth (2019-2023). In 2023-2024, she was Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. Since November 2024, she has been President of the Robert Schuman Institut.
