Judge John Z. Lee serves on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, having been commissioned in September 2022. He previously served as a U.S. District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois since 2012. Before joining the bench, he practiced in Chicago law firms and served as a trial attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Environmental and Natural Resources Division.
