Bruce Porter
Chief Science Officer at SparkCognition
Bruce Porter is the Chief Science Officer at SparkCognition, leading the Applied Research Lab, which initiates new Artificial Intelligence products and solves complex problems for external customers. Before joining SparkCognition in 2020, Bruce was a Professor in the Computer Science Department at the University of Texas at Austin, where he focused on research and teaching in Artificial Intelligence. He served as Chair of the Department from 2009 through 2017. Bruce earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of California at Irvine.
