The ABA Section of Intellectual Property Law's Spring Luncheon is a complimentary event scheduled for May 21, 2019, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Keker, Van Nest & Peters LLP in San Francisco, California. This luncheon is organized by the American Bar Association's Section of Intellectual Property Law, in collaboration with the San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Association (SFIPLA).
The event will focus on the intersection of district court litigation and Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) challenges. Keynote speaker Kevin Turner, Administrative Patent Judge at the PTAB, will provide insights into current trends and developments. The program includes opening remarks by Bridget Smith, Partner at Knobbe Martens, and closing remarks by Kevin Greenleaf, Counsel at Dentons. A panel discussion featuring industry leaders from companies such as Microsoft, Cisco, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Facebook, and Uber will delve into practical experiences and strategies related to PTAB proceedings.
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with peers from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM before the luncheon and from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM after the event. Lunch will be provided during the session. The event is complimentary, and California Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credits will be available for participating attorneys.
