Joint Webinar with Hyogo-Ken Bar Association

The Law Society of Hong Kong and the Hyogo-Ken Bar Association jointly organized a webinar on December 1, 2021, focusing on debt recovery procedures and enforcement in Hong Kong and Japan. This event aimed to provide legal professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the debt recovery processes from both debtor and creditor perspectives within each jurisdiction.

Key topics included detailed presentations on the legal frameworks governing debt recovery, procedural steps involved, and enforcement mechanisms available in Hong Kong and Japan. Speakers from both associations shared their expertise, offering comparative insights into the similarities and differences between the two legal systems.

The webinar attracted over 80 members from the two associations, facilitating a platform for knowledge exchange and professional networking. Notable participants included Vice-Presidents Amirali Nasir and Roden Tong, Council Member Ronald Sum, and Ms. Olivia Kung from the Law Society of Hong Kong, who shared their invaluable experiences on the subject.
