The AALL Annual Meeting & Conference is the premier event organized by the American Association of Law Libraries, bringing together legal information professionals from various sectors. The 2022 conference, themed "Advancing Justice for All," was held from July 16 to 19 in Denver, Colorado, and marked a return to in-person gatherings after two years of virtual meetings.
The conference featured over 60 educational programs covering a wide range of topics, including teaching critical and alternative legal research, providing access to justice through remote services, and managing information overload. Notable sessions included "How to Research Brazilian Law and Government Information" and "Kyoto, Paris, COP26: International Climate Change Mechanisms."
Attendees had the opportunity to engage in numerous networking events, explore an exhibit hall with over 60 exhibitors showcasing the latest legal information products and services, and participate in preconference workshops. The event also featured distinguished speakers, including Chief Justice Tani G. Cantil-Sakauye of the California Supreme Court, who delivered the keynote address.
The conference was designed for law librarians, legal information professionals, and others in the legal field seeking to enhance their knowledge, stay abreast of industry developments, and connect with peers. Participants gained valuable insights into emerging trends and best practices, contributing to their professional growth and the advancement of justice.
