The Security, Privacy and Consumer Protection Conference is an annual event organized by the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) at NYU School of Law. The conference focuses on the management of effective privacy and cybersecurity programs, addressing areas of legal risk, regulatory demands, disclosure requirements, and increasing threats. Key sessions include discussions on the recent New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) Cybersecurity Rule amendments, with keynote addresses from prominent figures such as Adrienne Harris, the Superintendent of NYDFS, and Harriet Pearson, Executive Deputy Superintendent of NYDFS.

She is a co-reporter of the American Law Institute’s Restatement of the Law of Consumer Contracts, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Max Planck Institute for Research on Collective Goods, and a former member of the board of directors of the American Law and Economics Association. She serves as the Director of the Study Abroad program in Buenos Aires at NYU School of Law, where she is also a fellow at the Engelberg Center and an affiliated faculty member at the Birnbaum Women’s Leadership Network. Professor Marotta-Wurgler received a BA with honors from the University of Pennsylvania and a JD cum laude from the NYU School of Law.
