The Security, Privacy and Consumer Protection Conference is an annual event organized by the Program on Corporate Compliance and Enforcement (PCCE) at NYU School of Law. This off-the-record discussion convenes top academics, government officials, general counsel, compliance officers, information security and privacy professionals, and expert external counsel.
The conference focuses on the management of effective privacy and cybersecurity programs, addressing areas of legal risk, regulatory demands, disclosure requirements, and increasing threats. Key sessions include discussions on the recent New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) Cybersecurity Rule amendments, with keynote addresses from prominent figures such as Adrienne Harris, the Superintendent of NYDFS, and Harriet Pearson, Executive Deputy Superintendent of NYDFS.

In 2010, he received an FBI Director’s Award for outstanding cyber investigation. After leaving the SDNY, Facciponti held a supervisory position in the legal department of HSBC, where he was responsible for leading global internal investigations, advising HSBC on remedial measures and compliance policy changes, and advocating for the bank before U.S. and foreign regulators and HSBC’s monitor. Prior to joining PCCE, Facciponti spent six years in private practice counseling corporate clients on financial crime, cybersecurity, and data privacy issues.
