The Aspen Security Forum is a premier national security and foreign policy conference in the United States, organized by the Aspen Strategy Group. Since 2010, it has provided a nonpartisan platform for domestic and global leaders to discuss pressing national security and foreign policy issues.
The 2024 forum, held from July 16 to 19 in Aspen, Colorado, addressed critical topics such as managing competition with China in the South China Sea and Taiwan Strait, the role of artificial intelligence in cyber defense and advanced weapons systems, and strategies for building resilient supply chains amid great power competition. Sessions also explored election integrity in the age of AI-generated content and partnerships to counter China's influence in the Global South.
Attendees had opportunities to engage with notable speakers, including Stephen Biegun, former U.S. Deputy Secretary of State; Alan F. Estevez, Under Secretary of Industry and Security at the U.S. Department of Commerce; and Eric Schmidt, former CEO of Google. The forum featured panel discussions, fireside chats, and networking events designed to foster collaboration among policymakers, industry leaders, and academics.
The Aspen Security Forum is ideal for government officials, business executives, academics, and journalists interested in national security and foreign policy. It offers a unique opportunity to gain insights from experts, participate in in-depth discussions, and network with peers dedicated to addressing global security challenges.
