PJ Di Giammarino

PJ Di Giammarino is a leading independent authority in RegTech (Regulatory Technology). With a background in system development and top-tier management consulting, including time at McKinsey, PJ served as COO of Technology at Barclays Capital. Recognizing the potential of RegTech early on, he founded JWG Group in 2006, creating a platform for senior bankers, regulators, and technologists to drive compliance solutions that are faster, more cost-effective, and safer. His work focuses on foresight, mutualization, standardization, and change control of regulatory obligations. In 2024, PJ founded and is CEO of RegRisk Legal Solutions, to anticipate, adapt, and advance compliance tooling. Under his leadership, the firm integrates global regulatory insights with legal precision, powered by agentic AI. Based in Europe for 25 years and now in Bath, England, PJ remains deeply involved in the global regulatory and financial technology communities. He is an active member of the International Organisation for Standardization (ISO), the Financial Open Source (FINOS) community, and serves as a judge for the Banking Technology Awards.

Mr. Echeverría is Deputy Director General Statistics at the European Central Bank (ECB). In this role, he oversees the collection and analysis of granular financial and supervisory data, which support the ECB’s monetary policy, financial stability, and supervisory functions. He holds a Master’s degree in Economic Sciences and Business Studies from the University of the Basque Country (Bilbao, Spain), as well as a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Deusto (Bilbao, Spain). He also completed a postgraduate Master’s program in Accounting and Auditing at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain). Between 2011 and 2015, he was also a member of the Advisory Expert Group on National Accounts (AEG). Mr. Echeverría has authored several articles and delivered presentations at international seminars and workshops on statistics.
